By inviting international speakers including artists, curators and project coordinators who are working in the Triangle Network, the talks aim to showcase the diverse composition of Triangle and discuss its role in supporting the development of grass-root artists' initiatives in countries as diverse as Colombia, Bangladesh, China, South Africa and Kenya. The first talk by two members of Helena Producciones will discuss the activities of this artists-run collective and their role in developing an ambitious Festival of Performance, which is now in its 7th biennial edition. In 2006, as part of Triangle Arts Trust, Helena Producciones was able to raise funding to develop the international aspect of the Festival, paying specific attention to performance practices in Latin America. Their forthcoming projects include an international artists workshop in Ladrilleros and Juan Chaco on the Pacific coast of Colombia.
