Networking event gives Lambeth firms the chance to beat competitors

Networking event gives Lambeth firms the chance to beat competitors

6:50am Monday 10th May 2010
Lambeth businesses that want to get ahead of their competitors have been urged to attend a "Meet the buyer" event tomorrow.
The council has organised the day to give firms the chance to find out what it takes to win contracts in the public sector.
Businesses who attend the free event at the Brit Oval in Kennington can meet major local buyers from a variety of service areas including construction and catering.
Naveed Kahn, director of Streatham business Mediworld, attended last year's event and secured a £25,000 contract.
He said: "The Supply Lambeth event was very successful for us. As a result we won a £25,000 contract, which is great for our business."
Gail Rowe, Lambeth Council enterprise manager added: "This event has proved enormously successful and provided businesses with a unique and useful networking opportunity. I would definitely encourage local businesses to attend."
