InterContinental Hotels Group signs for hotel in SE11

IHG signs for Vauxhall hotel By Bridget O'Connell from Estates Gazette
Listed developer CLS Holdings has signed an agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group at its £80m Spring Court development in Vauxhall, SE11.

The franchise agreement will see a 93-bedroom Staybridge Suites Hotel located on the site. It will be the most central Staybridge Suites hotel in London, following the successful opening of Stratford City last year.

CLS said the 15-year franchise agreement “forms an important part of the £80m mixed-use development”, which will also include 400 high-quality student rooms and is scheduled for completion in September 2014.

CLS executive chairman Sten Mortstedt said: “InterContinental Hotels Group is one of the top hotel companies in the world and its Staybridge Suites brand perfectly meets our aspirations for a hotel in this area. We very much look forward to working together with IHG.”
