How map-master Max Gill became the saviour of the London Underground | Artanddesign | The Guardian



A new exhibition shines a light on Eric Gill’s little-known younger brother, one of the greatest map-makers of the 20th century who designed iconic maps for the Tube and the lettering on war graves ... A hot-air balloon floats over Kennington, and a plane loops-the-loop above Kilburn, while the rest of the city busies itself below with an air of medieval festivity...
